106.54 Lift problems

I recently replaced a coupling on the PTO inner shaft through the draft cylinder from the bottom, but on reassembly the draft lever became defunct. That was until someone went messing with both levers and only draft was available. I removed the lift head and re-attached the draft linkage which seemed...

Re: renault hydraulic three piont lift stuck

The same happens on my 106.54 which is 1994, I presume a similar system is used. There are a number of control valves that can be removed and cleaned and usually does the trick. If left overnight will the lift drop ??

Re: Looking for a particular part?

Even today, i had to use it. worked well. I think around £12 or so. well worth it. Makes it much easier getting quotes for parts.

Re: Looking for a particular part?

Hi There, I purchased the parts manual from http://tractormanualsonline.org.uk/ its cheep and covers most part no's . I have to say I love the 106.54's Great tractor, change the engine oil regularly as they have a tendency to block oil galleries and wear out the rocker shaft on the back cylinder.

Re: 106.54 Engine trouble

Hi All, approx 300 hour's after the rebuild & all is going very well. When the Fuel injection pump was refitted it has a little extra grunt as requested. The engine starts first tip, this indicates the compression has greatly improved. I'm very happy with the job and I believe its money well spe...

Re: 106.54 Engine trouble

We have taken the engine out and fully apart, and found the last (no 12) cam follower to be scored and worn; thus allowing the oil to flow down the block instead of up through the push-rod to lubricate the rocker arm. Sense this is my first time stripping an engine, Ive cleaned, photographed, and lab...

106.54 Engine trouble

I have a Renault 106.54 with a D226B-6 engine which has clocked almost 10000 hours trouble free. But recently after a weeks constant dump-trailer work it started tapping then knocking at the back tappet. the rocker arm had worn quickly. On investigation the back push rod was not getting any oil. I'm...
