Adding brakes to trailer

Hi folks, I recently bought a used (very ;) ) 8t tipping trailer. It has no brakes currently (happy days :D ), so I'm looking to add some. It's a tandem with stub axles. The cheapest braked stub axles I can find are around the £230 mark. Does this seem reasonable? The other components aren't too bad...

Re: Renault Tractor Ignition

Hi there,

I don't have a wiring diagram for the tractor but I think the ignition switches themselves are fairly cheap...what kind of problem are you looking to resolve?

Outback S2/Class Pilot GPS power cable

I recently got a used Outback S2/Claas CoPilot GPS terminal on eBay. There were no cables with it so I'm trying to source a power cable or find enough details to build one. Does anyone here have one? It's got a 7 pin male socket on it but I'm not sure of the type to find it from the likes of RS comp...

Re: Renault 106-54 TL Brake Fluid?

Hi Lorraine and welcome to the forum :)

I'm not entirely sure about your specific tractor but I'd be highly surprised if it shouldn't be a mineral based fluid.

Hopefully someone will be able to confirm 100%.

Do you have a Claas dealer nearby (in fact, any should be able to advise)?

Does it make any difference if there's weight on the linkage or not? Is it fully manual?

Cool, would be good to see the pics!

How much was it to get the wheels blasted and painted , if you don't mind me asking?

It's something I'd like to get done to mine, makes such a difference to the appearance!

Re: What's the weather like with you today?

Having been cursing the air con needing to be recharged earlier in the week, today I had to abandon rolling a hay field as snow stopped play  Got to love the predictability of the weather at this time of year :D

Hi there and welcome to the forum! :) Was it a Renault car garage or tractors? (careful how you answer, might invite lots of questions from folks ;) ) That 650x looks in amazing condition, how old is it? Used to think these Temis's looked strange with the old school cab and the Ares front end but th...

I take it you mean checked the levels when you say 'topped up'? ;)

Looks like you may need to check the brake fluid too :)

Re: What's the weather like with you today?

What a miserable bloody day. 18 degrees during the week but rain, hail, sleet and snow today. As if lambing wasn't enough of a pain in the arse anyway.

Had been hoping to harrow all the grazing fields this weekend too :(

Air suspension seat

Hi guys, After a bit of advice on a replacement seat for my Ares. Current mechanical suspension Isringhausen seat is pretty buggered (fair enough after 17 years!). Was looking at a Grammer Maximo basic, which seems to be similar to the outgoing seat. Don't want to spend a huge amount of money but st...

Hi Peter,

Re: Hello Renault Fans

Hi there and welcome to the forum:-) That seems like a pretty impressive fleet anywhere, let alone in Canada! You must be a big fan of them to import from Holland! How do you find getting parts without any dealers? (does Claas have any NA presence or is there just the stuff sold as CAT?) I, too, hav...

Hi Harry and welcome to the forum :)

Sounds like a nice pair of tractors you've got there. Those generations with the MWM engines have a reputation for being long lasting.

What other ones did you used to have on the farm?

Hi Steve and welcome to the forum:-)

Not too sure on this one, to be honest. Hopefully, someone with a bit more knowledge will be along who can help you properly!

I'll have a look at some of the documentation and see if I can find out anything more.
